About SCP Component

SCP is the client-side component used in the Cloud Served – Lease deployment mode. It facilitates communication between the SCL components hosted in the cloud and RMS components in the customer's site.

Similar to Sentinel RMS, SCP supports network and standalone modes of licensing. To support it, the following variants of the SCP are included in the package:

>In network mode, SCP is installed as a service on the same machine where the RMS License Manager is installed. Vendor gets a SCP binary file from Gemalto for carrying out the installation.

For information on the Sentinel RMS License Manager, refer to the Sentinel RMS System Administrator's Guide.

>In standalone mode, a single integrated library (which combines both the SCP and Sentinel RMS functionality into one) is provided by Gemalto. Vendor needs to integrate it with the licensed application, without requiring any external installation of the Sentinel RMS License Manager.
